Teaching Philosophy

I believe the most transformative aspects of higher education lie in equipping students to think critically, question assumptions, and engage meaningfully with complex ideas—both inside and outside the classroom. At its best, learning fosters not only intellectual growth but also a sense of responsibility to the social and ethical dimensions of knowledge.

My teaching practice is grounded in the belief that critical thinking, collaborative inquiry, and intellectual risk-taking are skills that extend far beyond the university. In my courses, I create structured yet flexible environments where students are encouraged to challenge dominant narratives, develop original perspectives, and sustain curiosity over time. These habits of mind are essential to navigating the uncertainties of the present moment— and to shaping the kinds of futures students want to live in and help build.
